IAs a consultant and frequent traveller I, like many others, spend a lot of time away from home. In particular if I was to travel the world for an extended period I would like to have a service where I could forward my mail to that would open and scan my mail for me. I could then simply log into my ‘scanned mail’ service and read my post. I would be willing to pay a monthly or volume based fee for such a service and I think a lot of people would be interested in a service like this.

Innovative ventures like http://www.viapost.com/ are tackling the issues of sending post remotely via a simple print add-on. I have also found a service called http://www.earthclassmail.com/ that seems to offer something similar to what I have described. If successful, this service will hopefully identify if a market exists for a service like this. Hmmm… Competitor anyone??
